Radnor burglar eludes neighbor's chase

RADNOR, Pa. - April 30, 2010

At 1:36 p.m., officers were called to Meadowood Road in the Rosement Section of Radnor Township for the report of a home robbery.

Responding officers arrived and were informed by a witness that a male in his late teens/early 20's was seen on the property carrying a white canvas bag with black straps.

The witness asked the male why he was on the property; he did not answer, but fled on foot.

The witness chased the man who stated that he had a gun, but did not display any weapon.

The male subject was last seen entering a black 4-door Volkswagen Jetta with partial New Jersey license plate - first three characters of WPZ.

This vehicle was parked on Browning Lane at Meadowood Road.

According to police, the suspect entered the residence through an unlocked door of the home and removed jewelry and cash.

The witness described the male as white, 5'10", 150 pounds, age 19 to 22, with close cropped short black hair. The suspect was wearing a white T-shirt and long black short pants.
