Now that's a pot bust

RIVERSIDE, Calif. (AP) - May 6, 2010

Not just another day older -- but five-and-a-half years, too.

A Southern California man has been sentenced to five-and-a-half years in the federal pen for hauling 14 tons of pot in his truck.

Fifty-one-year-old Angel Raya pleaded guilty to transporting marijuana with intent to distribute.

Raya was paid ten-grand to move the illegal weed between two Southern California counties.

He was pulled over on I-15 for an illegal lane change.

Deputies found the huge stash after being alerted by drug-sniffing dogs.

It's the largest marijuana seizure in Riverside County history.
