The pursuit started in Tinicum Township shortly before midnight when police there attempted to stop a green colored Pontiac.
The driver refused to stop and led responding officers from Tinicum, Darby and Yeadon from Tinicum Township, through Yeadon and then into Philadelphia. The chase continued through the Cobbs Creek section and then ultimately into Wynnefield where the fleeing vehicle struck a white Chevrolet Cavalier at the intersection of Parkside Avenue and Wynnefield Street.
The suspect then fled on foot and has not found.
Both occupants inside the Cavalier, a man and a woman, received minor injuries and were taken to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.
