That's according to the mothers of Shane Bauer and Sarah Shourd, who are back in the United States after a visit to Iran to see their children. Shourd's mother, Nora Shourd, tells "Good Morning America" that Bauer made a ring out of threads from his shirt and proposed to Shourd in the exercise area of Evin Prison in Tehran.
The other captured American, Josh Fattal, will be best man at their wedding. Nora Shourd says they will get married "as soon as they have their freedom."
The three Americans were detained after Iranian officials say they crossed from Iraq into Iran while on what their families say was a hiking trip. The mothers had hoped to bring their children home with them, but were not allowed to.
