Robbers tie up employees, steal $6K from Diesel store

PHILADELPHIA - May 20, 2010

The robbery occurred around 8:00 p.m. Thursday at a Diesel store located at 1507 Walnut Street.

Police say two men entered the store. They forced all three employees to the back of the store and tied them up.

The suspects then stole $6,000 in cash and merchandise.

They then removed the tape from the store surveillance system before fleeing.

One employee was able to free themself and then freed the others before calling 911.

All three employees were uninjured.

The Diesel store is no stranger to break-ins. Amid a series of robberies in 2008, a car drove through the front and proceeded their crash and grab scheme on camera.

However, the tape is missing this time around so police are looking at other store surveillance videos to see if they picked up anything.
