Body recovered from home after Camden fire

CAMDEN, N.J. - May 30, 2010

The fire was reported around 6:15 a.m. in a vacant home located in the 1400 block of South 4th Street. Arriving crews reported two homes on fire with flames spreading to neighboring residences on both sides.

Crews discovered the body of a man inside of one of the homes. There is no word on the identity of the victim or the official cause of death.

One person was treated at the scene by medics for smoke inhalation.

The fire was placed under control around 6:45 a.m.

The cause of the blaze is being investigated by the Camden City and Camden County fire marshal's office.
