Police: Bank robber may be covered in dye

LANSDALE, Pa. - June 28, 2010

The robbery happened around 9:45 a.m. at the Harleysville Savings Bank at 640 E. Main Street.

Police say the suspect came into the bank and implied he had a weapon, but none was displayed.

During the course of the robbery, the suspect was given a dye pack which then exploded in the parking lot of the bank. He then fled on foot across E. Main Street. Witnesses say he then got into a white, four-door sedan on Highland Avenue.

The suspect is described as a black male in his mid 20's, 5'8" to 5'10" tall, 146 to 160 pounds, stocky build wearing a black Sixers #3 basketball jersey, white t-shirt, a black hat and black pants.
