NJ cop at center of probe pleads guilty

CAMDEN, N.J. - June 29, 2010

Thrty-two-year-old Jason Stetser faces up to ten years in prison when he's sentenced on Oct. 7.

Stetser and at least three other Camden police officers were suspended last year. The FBI investigated claims the officers planted drugs, used drugs to bribe prostitutes and other informants, searched without warrants, and lied on paperwork and in court.

One officer, Kevin Parry, pleaded guilty in March.

The Camden County Prosecutor's Office has dropped charges in more than 200 case since late last year because it had no confidence in the evidence in their cases. More than 40 of those suspects have been re-arrested on new charges.
