Bow hunter could still be in trouble

KELSO, Wash. (AP) - July 7, 2010

Police say Scott Allen Schwingdorf fired an arrow into the rear end of a fleeing crook.

That was in December of last year.

Cowlitz County Prosecutor Sue Baur says she's still deciding whether to file charges against the bow hunter.

The suspect has been charged with residential burglary.

Police say Schwingdorf stalked the man for three blocks after spotting him in a neighbor's vacant lot.

Prosecutor Baur tells a local paper that juries have sided with people claiming self-defense in similar cases.
