3 injured when tree falls at Bucks Co. camp

BENSALEM, Pa. - July 7, 2010

It happened around 1:45 p.m. at the Cherokee Day Camp, located at 1 Declaration Drive in Bensalem.

A day camp employee told Action News that the tree fell into the pool area. Approximately 200 children were in the pool at the time.

At least two children and one adult suffered minor injuries.

The pool has been shut down by the township and an investigation is underway. According to the Camp owner, the pool is expected to be re-opened tomorrow

A fence company is coming in to repair the fence and tree surgeons have been brought in to cut back all the trees that are in close proximity to the pool.

All parents have been notified.

It is not known what caused the tree to fall.
