Two sought after Upper Darby shooting

UPPER DARBY, Pa. - August 27, 2010

It happened late Thursday evening in the 6900 block of Aberdeen Road.

Police say a 21-year-old man was shot in the stomach during an attempted robbery. He was taken to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania in critical condition.

The victim was with a friend, police say, who told them two men approached them - one had silver handgun, the other had a double-barrel shotgun.

The men demanded money, and there was a brief struggle.

The friend told police the man with the handgun shot the victim, and both suspects fled the scene.

One suspect is described as a man in his 20's, about 5'11" and the second is a 19-year-old man who is about 6 feet tall.
