Philly law firm defends actions in sex settlements

PHILADELPHIA - September 3, 2010

Cozen O'Connor President Thomas "Tad" Decker says the law firm worked on two cases that led to large settlements with women employees of the Philadelphia Housing Authority.

Greene is on leave while his board of directors investigate how the complaints - and settlements - were kept secret.

Decker says Cozen lawyers thought the board knew about the first settlement, and demanded the board hear about the second, $350,000 payout. He says the firm was then dismissed.

Greene's lawyer, Clifford Haines, says he knows nothing about the firing.
