Sherrie Grasty

Sherrie Grasty, a wife and mother of two boys, was diagnosed with stage III breast cancer at the age of 40. Sherrie underwent a lumpectomy and had chemotherapy. She also took tamoxifan for 5 years and was took part in a clinical trial. Once Sherrie completed her treatment, she was able to return to her true passion – volunteerism. Sherrie has been an American Cancer Society Reach to Recovery® volunteer for the past 8 years. Through Reach, Sherrie speaks to women who are newly diagnosed with breast cancer, and shares her story in hopes of showing them they are not alone.

Sherrie has been recognized twice for her work with the American Cancer Society and Abington Hospital Rosenfeld Cancer Center.
