Authorities in Reading say 19-year-old Jason Rodriguez was walking home from high school about 2 p.m. Wednesday when he was fatally shot.
Relatives say Rodriguez was to be married Friday. They say he and his fiancee have a 6-month-old son.
The Reading Eagle reports that Rodriguez is the third student from Reading High School slain this academic year.
Police were looking for several friends who were with Rodriguez when he was shot. Investigators say the friends asked a passer-by for help, then fled before police arrived.
