Police in Allentown say 53-year-old Joseph Wolf told police he was just trying to thank the nurse when he grabbed the woman's buttocks late Sunday night.
The Morning Call newspaper reported Thursday that Wolf had been in the hospital waiting room demanding to be treated because he said he'd been assaulted. He left and returned later and was admitted.
Police say Wolf repeatedly demanded pain medication, then twice grabbed the nurse.
When police arrived, Wolf told them he didn't think his conduct was inappropriate because "in Europe, they kiss."
Wolf is being held on $8,500 bail. It was not clear if he had an attorney.
