Woman arrested for Westville, N.J. murder

A woman has been arrested for the murder of a man found dead earlier this week.

39-year-old Lori Hummel of the 400 block of Ridgway Avenue in Gloucester City was arrested on Friday and charged in the death 0f 54-year-old Thomas Carbin.

Carbin's body was found by his teenage daughter on Monday in his Westville, N.J. apartment.

Police say Hummel was an acquaintance of Carbin who visited on Sunday night and was there until the early morning hours of Monday.

At some point Monday morning, police say Hummel slashed Carbin's neck, killing him. She then allegedly stolen cash and gift cards and went shopping.

Hummel is charged with murder, felony murder, robbery, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and unlawful possession of a weapon.
