No one injured in NJ prison fire

CLINTON TOWNSHIP, N.J. - January 24, 2011

More than 100 inmates had to be temporarily moved after the fire broke out in a cottage at the Edna Mahan Correctional Facility for Women in Clinton Township on Sunday.

Corrections Department spokesman Matt Schuman tells The Star-Ledger of Newark smoke was rising from the cottage's heating ducts.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.

The prison holds roughly 850 female inmates.
