The accident happened at about 3:20 a.m., at G Street and Erie Avenue in the Juniata Park section of the city.
The four women in the two minivans were taken to the hospital with a variety of injuries, but they are all in stable condition.
They range in age from 22 to 53 years old.
Police have charged the driver of one of the minivans with driving under the influence.
Authorities say you should expect detours in the area while officers finish their investigation.
