Poll: Pennsylvanians warming to Gov. Tom Corbett

HARRISBURG, Pa. - February 16, 2011

A Quinnipiac University survey released Wednesday showed 65 percent of the state's voters are optimistic about the next four years with Corbett in charge, contrasted with only 59 percent in December, after he was elected but before he took office.

Half of the respondents said they have not yet formed an opinion about Corbett's performance. But among the other half who have an opinion, those who approved of Corbett's performance outnumbered those who disapprove by more than 3-1.

The statewide telephone survey of 1,366 voters was conducted during the week that ended Monday. The sampling error margin is plus or minus 2.7 percentage points.
