The bomb squad in Annapolis, Maryland, was dispatched to the health department, after a suspicious package was found next to a trash bin yesterday morning.
The bomb techs x-rayed the briefcase to make sure it was empty before they pried it open.
Nothing was found inside.
Fire department Captain Michael Cox notes the trash bin was locked.
He figures someone was just trying to throw the briefcase away and left it by the trash.
