Burglary suspect caught on tape

PHILADELPHIA - May 3, 2011

The burglary occurred on April 24th sometime between 4:00 a.m and 5:00 a.m.

Surveillance video shows the suspect cutting the lock to the steel security gate, shattering the glass of the front door, and then entering the Rodriquez mini-mart located at 2700 W Somerset Street.

The male is then seen inside the store. He removes the cash register which had $310 in cash, various cartons cigarettes and cigars. The male is seen leaving the store and flees in a minivan.

The suspect is described as a black male, 40 to 45 years of age, approximately 5'9 in height, approximately 180 pounds in weight, light complexion, balding. He was wearing glasses, a camouflage jacket, and blue jeans.
