Pa. school bus driver enters DUI plea

MEDIA, Pa. - June 1, 2011

The Delaware County Daily Times reports 48-year-old Christine Rogers pleaded guilty Tuesday to driving under the influence for the crash last June.

Police say Rogers had a blood-alcohol content more than four times the legal limit when she drove the Wallingford-Swarthmore School District bus into some shrubs and the sign while making a turn. Police say they found an empty vodka bottle and more liquor on the bus.

One student was on board at the time.

Rogers entered an open plea with no agreement on a sentence with prosecutors. Her attorney plans to introduce sobriety treatment records for Rogers' June 20 sentencing.
