The incident happened just after midnight at Engine 46, located at the intersection of Frankford and Linden Avenues in Torresdale.
Firefighters say they noticed a man trying to break into vehicles outside of the fire house and then said he tried to break into the fire house. That's when crews confronted the man and called police.
There was a scuffle, and police showed up and arrested the man. No one was hurt.
Police are still trying to find out what the man was doing there.
