3 charged in theft of 30 iPads from Pa. school

EAGLEVILLE, Pa. - August 5, 2011

Authorities in Lower Providence Township say the tablets were reported stolen from a classroom at Methacton Area High School on June 7. Police say the initial investigation found that the burglars entered the school through a second-floor window.

The Mercury of Pottstown reports (http://bit.ly/pVbr5O ) charges of burglary, theft and other counts were filed against the juveniles in Montgomery County Juvenile Court on Tuesday. Police are not releasing their names.

The newspaper reports police used information from confidential sources to identify the suspects and locate some of the stolen iPads. They are still searching for two dozen that are still missing.
