Man injured in Germantown building collapse

GERMANTOWN - September 20, 2011

Officials tell Action News that a structure at the intersection of Ashmead Street and Germantown Avenue collapsed.

Firefighters arrived on scene at about 9:15 a.m. and quickly rescued a man trapped under the rubble. He was then taken to Albert Einstein Medical Center with a right shoulder injury.

There is no word on what caused the structure to collapse.

The situation was brought under control in a matter of minutes.

There are no other reports of injuries.
