It happened around 5:30 Sunday morning.
Police came across heavy smoke pouring from the first floor of the home and proceeded to kick down the front door.
Arriving firefighters battled the blaze and were able to bring things under control within minutes.
The female victim was treated at the scene.
Arson investigators were also called to the scene and the fire is being labeled as "suspicious."
