Shooting victim tells police he was being followed

WEST PHILADELPHIA - January 2, 2012

The shooting took place shortly before 9:15 p.m. at 57th Street and Girard Avenue.

Upon arrival, officers located the male victim with a gunshot wound to his right side and left wrist.

Police transported the victim to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.

The man managed to tell police that he was being followed by two men in a Dodge Charger.

The victim added that he was shot when he stopped for a red light.

There are no arrests at this time.
