Neshaminy teachers will go on strike Monday

LANGHORNE, Pa. - January 7, 2012

Teachers in the Neshaminy School District have given notice to district officials that they will go on strike.

Union officials in the lower Bucks County district announced the strike Friday.

The union says more than 650 members have worked for four years without a contract.

As of Saturday night, the school board president says negotiations have been suspended.

They also say if there is a strike some special education and athletic activities will continue.

Information regarding the duration of the strike will be shared at a later date.
