Caught on camera: S. Phila. deli robbery

SOUTH PHILADELPHIA - January 10, 2012

It happened on Saturday at 2:30 p.m.

Police say the man entered Phan's Deli at 1542 South 6th Street and placed an item on the counter. He then pulled a large knife from his coat and demanding money from the clerk.

The employee handed the suspect $45 in cash from the register. The suspect fled the store on foot. He ran south on 6th Street, then west on Fernon Street.

Police are looking for an Asian man, 20- to 30 years old, 5'8" with a medium build and short black hair. He was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans and light colored gloves.
