Police: Woman abducted at Center City garage

CENTER CITY - March 7, 2012

Philadelphia police say two men pulled up to the Five-Star Parking Garage at 7th and Chestnut streets just before 6:00 p.m.

They told a female employee of the garage their window was broken out.

She left an office to investigate.

Police say she was then thrown into the back of a van.

Her hands and feet were duct-taped.

One suspect stayed in the van with the victim.

The other suspect stole another vehicle from the garage and drove off. He came back an hour later on foot.

Authorities say the two suspects then took the woman to a CVS Pharmacy on Cumberland Street and Aramingo Avenue.

They stole her debit card and a phone and dropped the victim off uninjured.

Police have not released the make and model of the stolen vehicle.

The victim declined to speak to reporters after leaving police headquarters late Wednesday night.
