Reverend Louis Bier was placed on administrative leave by the Archdiocese of Philadelphia.
Parishioners at St. Francis of Assisi in Springfield received the news yesterday and on Monday night went to a meeting at the church to learn more.
But officials are saying little, except to note that Father Bier's removal does not have anything to do with inappropriate behavior with minors.
