Flames broke out around 5:45 a.m. at the home located on the 2600 block of N Bouvier Street.
Heavy fire was showing when firefighters arrived on the scene. Flames extended to a neighboring house before crews were able to bring them under control.
The two elderly victims were treated by medics at the scene and then transported to the hospital where their condition is unknown.
So far, there is no word on what may have sparked the fire.
