Philadelphians lose cell phone most often

PHILADELPHIA - March 23, 2012

The report, put together by a company called Lookout, says that Philadelphians lose their cell phones roughly two times a year. Lookout makes software and apps that let people track down their tech devices... just in case they lose them. So they have all the data to cull through.

Among some of the interesting findings on the Lookout website that mashes up all the data they gather from lost cell phones:

* People who lost their cell phones in Philadelphia are most likely to lose them in an automotive repair shop. After that comes pizza shops, churches, their apartments and their offices. (By comparison, people in Chicago and San Francisco lost them the most in coffee shops; people in New York and Seattle lost them the most in fast food restaurants)

* People in Philadelphia with the Lookout software tend to lose their cell phones about twice a year.
