Wednesday is the eighth day of Shawn Tyson's trial. He's accused of shooting 24-year-old James Kouzaris and 25-year-old James Cooper. The two men were vacationing in Sarasota and ended up dead in a housing project early one morning after a night of drinking.
It's unclear why the men were walking in the housing project.
On Tuesday, the prosecution called several witnesses, including two who said they saw Tyson with a .22 caliber gun similar to the weapon used in the slayings. Late in the day, the prosecution rested its case and the defense called a crime scene technician as a witness.
