2 men sought in Newark attempted luring

NEWARK, Del. - April 23, 2012

Investigators say at 7:01 p.m. Saturday police were called to the Newark Oaks community for the report of a suspicious vehicle. When officers arrived, witnesses told them that two men in a white van attempted to lure a child near the the corner of Midland Drive and Brennan Drive.

The child fled and immediately told a family member, who then called 9-1-1. The vehicle is described as a white van with green lettering on the back. The first suspect is described as a white male with short brown hair who was wearing a red shirt and blue pants. The second suspect was a white male with blond hair who was wearing a white T-shirt.

Police say a vehicle matching the van's description was also seen in the community of Todd Estates.
