Secret Service Director Mark Sullivan says the two originally resigned and are now fighting to get their jobs back. The agency will move to permanently revoke their security clearance, which is required for their jobs.
Sullivan is testifying before the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee about the scandal that erupted following a morning-after argument over payment between a Colombian prostitute and her Secret Service officer customer in the April incident.
To date eight officers have been forced out. Three have been cleared of serious wrongdoing, and the agency had been moving to permanently revoke the security clearance of one employee.
