Police: Boys rob NJ pizza man, found eating food

GLOUCESTER TWP., N.J. - June 7, 2012

Officers were flagged down around 9:30 p.m. Wednesday by the delivery man in the area of Jarvis Road at Sicklerville Road.

The victim told police he was making a delivery on Brookshire Road and was approached by the boys, who told him they had called in the order, but they were unable to pay.

The delivery man left and proceeded to fill another delivery when he again encountered the group, who said they were now able to pay for the food.

The victim got out of his vehicle as one of the boys patted his pockets and said that he, in fact, did not have any money. However, the victim told police, the boy revealed a handle to a weapon, possibly a knife, and began to stare at him.

Fearing for his safety, the deliveryman handed over the food, valued at nearly $60, and the group left on foot.

After he reported the incident, police went to the location and found the four boys eating the stolen food. They were taken into custody without incident.

They were charged with robbery and conspiracy to commit robbery. They were sent to the Camden County Juvenile Detention Center.
