Committee to investigate Philly voting problems

PHILADELPHIA - December 7, 2012

The mayor announced that he formed a fact-finding committee to clarify questions that came up at the polls.

The new committee will also provide recommendations for ways in which the city can improve the election system.

"I want the most efficient, honest, informative election process anywhere in the United States," said Nutter.

He also mentioned that there was a lot of confusion about the state's voter ID legislation and several polls had to be moved at the last minute in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy.

He commended the city's election workers for their response during the difficult situation.
