Police: Mayfair bank robber dropped cash during escape

Philadelphia police are looking for a suspect in connection with a bank robbery in city's Mayfair section.

The robbery happened at the M&T bank located at 7121 Frankford Avenue.

According to investigators, it was just after 10:30 a.m. Monday when a man, believed to be in his early 30's, entered the bank and presented a teller with a demand note. The suspect was given cash and then fled the bank on foot.

About a block away, the man either dropped or ditched some of the money along the 3400 block of Friendship Street.

The suspect is described as a white male with a red to strawberry blonde beard and wearing a green jacket and back pack.

There are no reports of any injuries at this time.
