Toddler abducted from Gloucester Twp. daycare, father arrested

GLOUCESTER TWP., N.J. - March 13, 2013

Members of the New Jersey State Police Missing Persons Unit located 1 ½-year-old Anyla Moore and her biological father, 22-year-old Angelo W. Davis Jr., at a residence in the 400 block of Lexington Avenue in Pennsauken, New Jersey.

Davis was arrested and charged with Interference of Custody.

Police say the child has been reunited with her mother.

Authorities say it was approximately 4:30 p.m. Wednesday when Davis picked up Anyla from Clementon KinderCare, located at 35 Broadacres Drive in Clementon.

The child's mother went to pick up the child at approximately 5:53 p.m., and was informed that Anyla had been picked up by her father.

The child's mother stated that she has sole custody of the child and that the father was not authorized to pick up the child.

Upon learning this, the child's mother called the Gloucester Township Police Department.

Anyla's mother told police she felt the child was in danger because Davis has a violent past, has a history of mental health issues, and may be abusing dangerous drugs.

Davis has been remanded to Camden County Jail in lieu of $7,500 bail.

The Gloucester Township Police, the Camden County Prosecutors Office, and the New Jersey State Police were involved in the investigation.
