Police investigate 2 bank robberies in Montgomery County

UPPER PROVIDENCE TWP., Pa. - May 24, 2013

Police say the first robbery happened in Upper Providence Township at the Harleysville Bank Branch on Ridge Pike at Township Line Road around 5:00 p.m.

Officials say the robber entered the bank wearing a full face mask and blue latex gloves. He did not present a note, but produced a gun.

He got away with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Police say the second bank robbery happened 40 minutes later at the Univest Bank in the 4200 block of Township Line Road in Schwenksville.

Pennsylvania State Police are involved in the investigation, and will only say the robberies sound similar.

No one was hurt the incidents.
