Suspect sought in Mantua car theft

The Philadelphia Police Department is searching for a suspect who stole a car in Mantua.

The incident occurred on August 14th at 6:10 a.m. on the 3900 block of Lancaster Avenue.

Police say the victim left his Dodge Durango parked with the engine running while he went inside a coffee shop.

While the victim was inside, a man entered his vehicle and fled the area.

He was last seen on the 3900 block of Spring Garden Street where the suspect hit an unmarked and unoccupied police vehicle.

After the accident, the suspect fled the area on foot leaving the vehicle behind.
