NJ man pleads guilty to hit-and-run accident

HADDON TOWNSHIP, N.J. (AP) - September 19, 2013

Fifty-one-year-old Timothy Polijczuk of Mount Ephraim pleaded guilty Wednesday to leaving the scene of a fatal motor vehicle accident.

Authorities say Polijczuk was driving on a suspended license when he struck 67-year-old Joyce Putmon as she crossed the Black Horse Pike in Haddon Township.

The victim was going from the Audubon Shopping Center to the bus stop when she was hit on March 3.

The Camden County Prosecutor's Office expects Polijczuk will be ordered to serve six years in prison at his sentencing on Jan. 10.
