Woman stuffed in trash can, 2 suspects sought

CAMDEN, N.J. - January 23, 2014

Police are calling the incident an attempted abduction.

It happened at 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Zoujati Salon at 107 N. 6th Street.

According to investigators, a female employee was alone in the store as the two armed men entered.

The pair forced the woman into the trash can, police said, then carried the can outside and left her there.

The suspects then got into a white van and drove across the Ben Franklin Bridge into Philadelphia.

The van is described as a white 2009 or newer Chevrolet Express 1500 cargo van with tinted windows and stolen Pennsylvania license plates: JLJ 6784.

The suspects were described as black males, standing 5'10" to 6' tall, wearing full-body robes and head coverings.

The victim was treated for unspecified injuries and released from Cooper University Hospital.
