Reward up to $3,000 in deadly Collingdale hit-and-run

The reward has now risen to $3,000 to catch the hit-and-run driver who killed a Collingdale man.

The accident happened around 9:30 p.m. Friday at the intersection of Clifton Avenue and Spruce Street

Police say 57-year-old Timothy McCaughan, a father of three and grandfather of two, was struck by a vehicle as he walked across Clifton Avenue on his way to visit a friend.

Investigators have released a sketch of the suspect. He is described as a light skinned African-American or Hispanic male over 6 feet tall with a stocky build, close-cut full beard and short curly hair.

They believe he was driving a light-colored, tan or gold Chevy Tahoe or GMC Yukon. The vehicle had five distinct clearance lights located above the windshield.
