Teen fights off abduction attempt in Frankford

Philadelphia police are investigating the reported attempted abduction of a teenager on her way to school in the city's Frankford section.

The incident happened around 7:30 a.m. Friday on the 2100 block of Granite Street.

According to investigators, the alleged victim was walking to school when an unknown masked male exited a vehicle, grabbed her from behind and attempted to cover her mouth.

The victim managed to break free and ran to school where she reported the incident.

The suspect is described as standing 5'9", weighing approximately 200 pounds, and was wearing a grey hooded sweatshirt and black sweat-pants.

He was operating a white four-door vehicle, possibly a Pontiac, with tinted windows.

Police say the suspect's face was covered by a "Scream Mask".
