2 females, child injured in crash in Newport, Del.

NEWPORT, Del. - April 5, 2014

The accident happened around 8:30 a.m. in the southbound lanes of Route141.

Officials say two vehicles collided in the area of Newport Gap Pike.

The collision caused one car to leave the roadway and flip over.

There were two females, along with a child inside the vehicle.

Fire crews had to rescue one of the females from the wreckage.

The three victims suffered non-life threatening injuries and were taken to Christiana Hospital for treatment.

Police shut down the road while they investigated the crash.
