It happened around 11:30 Sunday morning on the 1600 block of Paoli Pike near East Goshen Park.
Police say the victim was walking with a family member but decided to head back to their vehicle. As she was crossing the street, she was struck.
Officers arrived to find a 76-year-old woman lying on the side of the road with serious injuries. She was taken to Paoli Hospital where she later died.
The driver, an 83-year-old man, stopped at the scene and spoke with police.
The victim's identity has not been released.
