Cops: Woman brought grandkids to heroin deal

CHARLEROI, Pa. - May 2, 2014

The public defender for 52-year-old Brenda Pelzer, of Charleroi, declined comment Friday on the drug charges Pelzer faces from the alleged undercover transaction.

The (Washington) Observer-Reporter says the woman texted the informant to tell him she'd be bringing her grandchildren to the deal about 8 p.m. Tuesday. Charleroi Regional police say Pelzer sold the informant eight individual dose bags of heroin, and was found with two more in her pants pocket.

Pelzer remained in the Washington County Jail on Friday, unable to post $100,000 bond. She's facing a preliminary hearing May 12 on charges including drug delivery and criminal use of a cellphone.
