PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- The Platt Bridge is mostly back open after it was closed for several hours early Monday morning after a fatal crash.
One person was killed in the three-car crash on the bridge South Philadelphia.
It happened just after 2 a.m. on Monday.
Police also say one person was trapped and another suffered minor injuries.
Traffic Reporter Matt Pellman says eastbound lanes were reopened shortly after 7 a.m. and one westbound lane was also reopened to allow some traffic by.
To avoid the area, Pellman suggests taking the Vine Expressway to I-95 SB and then taking it across the Girard Point double-decker bridge. He said drivers could also take the Schuylkill Expressway all the way to Broad Street and then connect to I-95 SB.
No other details have been released at this time.
